Whether they are a family member, a coworker, a friend, a neighbor, or simply someone that you know, people with disabilities are a critical part of the fiber of our community. People with disabilities are more like us than different. They have the same hopes, dreams, joys, and sorrows as you and me. These are the things that transcend differences and make us human. That is why Magic City Enterprises, Inc. has supported people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Cheyenne area since 1971.

The decorative painting in the rotunda and many other spaces in the Capitol has been restored to match the painting from the original construction. Using patterns discovered during the project and historic photos, artisans recreated the painting. The most historic rooms and corridors were painted in a style called trompe l’oeil, which means to “fool the eye.” This style of painting creates an illusion of a three-dimensional effect through the use of highlights and shadows in the painting process.
